Embark on a Jeep adventure through Mongolia’s historic heartland and breathtaking landscapes, tracing the pathways of the ancient Mongol Empire. This itinerary blends cultural immersion, natural beauty, and relaxation, offering visits to sacred sites, nomadic family homestays, horseback and camel riding experiences, and the rejuvenating Tsenher Hot Springs.

You’ll explore Karakorum, the 13th-century capital of the Mongol Empire, walk the Mongol Desert Sand Dunes, visit Swan Lake, and pay respects at sacred ovoo sites. Along the way, you will experience Mongolia’s nomadic lifestyle, rich history, and legendary hospitality before concluding your adventure at the famous Tsenher Hot Springs.

Day 1 – Journey to Central Mongolia’s Khögnö Khan National Park

Depart from Ulaanbaatar at 8 AM, traveling to Rashaant village (280 km). Enjoy scenic views of vast nomadic pastures along the way. Upon arrival, transfer to Mr. Byambatogtoh’s family, where you will be welcomed with a traditional Mongolian lunch.

In the afternoon, take a 10.5 km guided trek to the Khadagt Khoshuu spiritual site, where local herders practice sacred rituals. Participate in or observe these traditions before returning to the family’s ger for dinner and rest.

Day 2 – Camel or Horseback Riding to the Next Nomadic Family

(B, L, D – Overnight in Nomadic Ger / Cultural Homestay)

After breakfast, embark on a 10 km camel or horseback ride to Mr. Otgonbayar’s family. Enjoy a traditional Mongolian lunch and tea.

Later, experience a 12 km ox-cart journey to Bugdiin Ovoo, a sacred site representing Mongolia’s deep reverence for nature and history. Walk three times around the ovoo in devotion before returning to the family’s ger for dinner.

Day 3 – Horseback Riding to Mongol Desert Sand Dunes & Swan Lake

(B, L, D – Overnight in Nomadic Ger)

Ride 6 km on horseback to Mr. Idertsogt’s family, where you will be welcomed with a home-cooked lunch and tea.

Later, take a horseback ride to Swan Lake, a pristine desert oasis at the base of the Mongol Desert Sand Dunes. Witness the stunning contrast between desert and water before returning for dinner and rest.

Day 4 – Horseback Ride to Queen Manduhai’s Filming Location & Karakorum

(B, L, D – Overnight at Mongolian Ger Camp)

Start the morning with livestock milking and daily nomadic activities before breakfast.

Afterward, take a 5 km horseback trip to the filming location of Queen Manduhai, a Mongolian historical figure known for defending Mongolia’s independence.

After a farewell lunch, travel overland to Karakorum, the legendary capital of the Mongol Empire. Explore the ancient ruins and visit Erdenezuu Monastery, Mongolia’s oldest Buddhist monastery, before retiring to a nearby ger camp.

Day 5 – Overland to Arkhangai’s Tsenher Hot Springs

(B, L, D – Overnight in Mongolian Ger Camp at Hot Springs)

After breakfast, journey to Arkhangai Province, a region known for its lush valleys, pristine rivers, and horse-breeding culture.

Enjoy a relaxing soak in Tsenher Hot Springs, where mineral-rich waters flow at 82°C. Spend the evening unwinding before retiring to your ger camp.

Day 6 – Return to Ulaanbaatar via Rashaant Village

(B, L – End of Tour)

After breakfast, begin the return journey to Rashaant village, stopping at a nomadic family’s ger for a farewell lunch. Continue to Ulaanbaatar, arriving by 5 PM.
