Mongolia’s Thousand Camel Festival

The festival was first initiated about 20 years ago aiming to protect the two humped Bactrian Camel and to flourish the rich heritage of camel breeding across Mongolia. The highlights of the two-day festival will start with a Camel parade which is open to any visitors who wish to attend. The event continues with beauty contest, camel polo, camel painting exhibition, a cultural concert, as well as traditional Mongolian musicians and dancers offer great performances during the camel festival and more! The festival offers a great chance to learn more about the Mongolia’s Bactrian Camel and to experience the camel breeders’ nomadic lifestyle.
